Airline Cancellations & Flight Changes

Airline Responsibility

Holy Land & Beyond acts as an agent in arranging air transportation. Airlines operate under their own terms and conditions, and Holy Land & Beyond is not responsible for flight cancellations, delays, schedule changes, or denied boarding caused by the airline.

Flight Cancellations

In the event of a flight cancellation by the airline, Holy Land & Beyond will work with the carrier to rebook travelers on the next available flight. Any additional costs incurred due to airline-initiated cancellations are the responsibility of the airline or the traveler's travel insurance.

Missed Connections

Holy Land & Beyond is not liable for costs arising from missed connections due to airline delays, including hotel accommodations, meals, or rebooking fees. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip interruption coverage.

Airline Ticket Changes

Once airline tickets are issued, changes may be subject to airline change fees and fare differences. These costs are the responsibility of the traveler.

War, Political Unrest & Force Majeure

Force Majeure Events

Holy Land & Beyond shall not be liable for cancellations, delays, or modifications caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of war, terrorism, civil unrest, government travel advisories, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, strikes, or other extraordinary events.

U.S. State Department Advisories

We monitor U.S. State Department travel advisories for all destinations. If a Level 3 (Reconsider Travel) or Level 4 (Do Not Travel) advisory is issued for a destination on your itinerary, Holy Land & Beyond will contact you to discuss options, which may include rebooking, a travel credit, or a partial refund depending on recoverable costs.

Regional Instability

Travel to the Holy Land region involves inherent geopolitical considerations. Holy Land & Beyond has extensive experience operating in this region and maintains local contacts to monitor conditions. However, we cannot guarantee political stability and strongly recommend purchasing Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance.

No Liability for Force Majeure

In force majeure situations, Holy Land & Beyond will make every effort to recover costs from suppliers and pass those recoveries to travelers, but cannot guarantee full refunds. Non-recoverable costs (e.g., pre-paid hotel blocks, non-refundable airline tickets) may be retained.

Travel Insurance

Strongly Recommended

Holy Land & Beyond strongly recommends that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Given the nature of international pilgrimage travel — including the regions we visit — travel insurance is essential protection for your investment.

Recommended Coverage

Your policy should include: trip cancellation and interruption, medical evacuation and emergency medical expenses, baggage loss and delay, flight delay and missed connection, and Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) if you want maximum flexibility.

Traveler Responsibility

Purchasing travel insurance is the sole responsibility of the traveler. Holy Land & Beyond is not an insurance provider and cannot file claims on your behalf. We recommend purchasing insurance within 14 days of your initial deposit to maximize coverage eligibility.

Pre-Existing Conditions

Many travel insurance policies require purchase within a specific window of your initial deposit to cover pre-existing medical conditions. Please review policy terms carefully and consult your insurance provider.

Itinerary Changes

Right to Modify

Holy Land & Beyond reserves the right to modify itineraries before or during travel due to safety concerns, weather, site closures, religious observances, local conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to substitute comparable experiences.

Pre-Departure Changes

If a significant itinerary change is made before departure (e.g., removal of a major destination), travelers will be notified promptly and offered the choice to accept the modified itinerary, transfer to another departure, or cancel with a refund of recoverable costs.

On-Tour Changes

Changes made during the tour due to safety, access restrictions, or local conditions do not entitle travelers to a refund. Our experienced guides will work to provide the best possible alternative experience.

Hotel Substitutions

Accommodations listed in tour materials are subject to availability. Holy Land & Beyond reserves the right to substitute hotels of equal or superior quality without prior notice.

Supplier Responsibility

Third-Party Suppliers

Holy Land & Beyond arranges travel services through independent third-party suppliers including airlines, hotels, ground transportation companies, local guides, and activity operators. These suppliers operate under their own terms and conditions.

Limitation of Liability

Holy Land & Beyond acts as an agent for these suppliers and is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or irregularity that may be caused by the negligence or default of any third-party supplier. Our liability is limited to the amount paid to Holy Land & Beyond for the affected service.

Supplier Insolvency

Holy Land & Beyond is not responsible for the financial insolvency of any supplier. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes supplier default coverage.

Local Conditions

Local laws, customs, and conditions vary by destination. Holy Land & Beyond is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from compliance with local laws or regulations, or from conditions inherent to the destinations visited.
